Hello! I'm Chris Lilly.
I believe that the stories that writers write are living, breathing entities outside of ourselves and writers are the vessels in which to bring them to life, but with stimuli hitting us from every direction --
social media, advertisements, family, friends, day jobs, limiting beliefs that no longer serve us --
getting in tune with our intuition and creativity can be a struggle. I aim to help you fix that so you can live more in flow with all your responsibilities as well as be the creative person that you are.

I ALSO WRITE FAMILY/TEEN/YA STORIES WITH LGBTQ LEAD CHARACTERS.
(Think, like, The CW, FreeForm, Nickelodeon, or Disney.)

How I discovered I'm a Writer
Since childhood, I've had a special place in my heart for TV, and the day I knew that I loved TV was August 28, 1993 - the premiere date of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. I'm still a fan and LOVED the 2017 movie. After the Rangers, I found Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, then Friends, Smallville, Gilmore Girls, The Vampire Diaries, and...well, the list goes on and on.
In May 2006 on the day of my college graduation, with all of my belongings in my car, I moved from Cedar City, UT to Los Angles, CA. I had less than $1,000 in my pocket, no definite living situation, no job, and no idea what I wanted to do in the entertainment industry...
In 2009, I was watching the series finale of Charmed (1998) with some friends of mine who hadn't seen it yet. During the episode, they complained about how Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) and I remember saying to them,

"Why are you complaining about this? This is the last episode, the last story that you're ever gonna see with these sisters."
And that's when the universe bitch-slapped me, making me realize that I'm a writer. From there, I started taking screenwriting classes at UCLA Extension; created, wrote, and produced a web series called Just Us Guys. Currently, I'm currently working on getting some short stories self published.
How I discovered Tarot
The year was... kinda rough, to say the least, not knowing what was happening with the Covid-19 virus that shut the world down. Living alone, I was stressed too stressed to be creative, slept a lot more than I ever had in my life, and some days I couldn't even get out of bed.
There were videos going around telling people that if "if you don't come out of this with a new skill, you're wasting your time!"
Well, that didn't sit well with me and stressed me out even more. Around May/June I started listening to a podcast called Writing Excuses and being the completionist that I am, plus with all the time I had, I started from Episode 1.
During one of the episodes, one of the podcast hosts, Mary Robinette Kowal, mentioned that she uses tarot cards to get out of
writers block.
Well, it was all uphill from there.

As of March 2023, I now have over 55+ themed decks, want to use this "new skill" to help writers get out of their writer's block, and am anxiously waiting to find out if my application to be a Certified Tarot Advisor from Biddy Tarot to be accepted!

I guess I learned a new skill after all...

I can do personal readings and readings for writers and I'm
always open to trying something new!
When I'm Not Writing Or Doing Tarot Readings:
- I'm a SAG-AFTRA Actor
- A performer with the Fans of MuMo
- Studying/Posting about the Tarot
- Reading a book (or more than one, most likely)
- Updating any one (or all) of my social media platforms
- Catching up on one of the many TV shows that I'm behind on
-Line Dancing

Other Random Facts About me:

(I 'get drunk' off of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
and orange or brown is not even my favorite color!)
-My favorite superhero flipped from Superman to Spiderman instantly after I met him at Disneyland.
-I was a cat dad to Chloe. She was pure white and I named after Chloe from Smallville because she got into everything; and Jack-the Black-Cat, who I named when I was four years old
-Adam Scott (Parks and Rec) is my doppelgänger
-I know/am relearning American Sign Language
Biggest Weaknesses?
Cooking. Trust me. I've tried for years and now I get anxious before I even open a cookbook.
So, if there is ever a zombie apocalypse, one of two things will probably happen:
1 - I'm either going be one of the first ones to be unalived, or
2 - since I'm currently learning about herb and tea remedies, I'll probably end up being be a holistic healer.
